We're releasing an OTA tomorrow (~2025.06.04) that updates our messaging/chat protocol, introducing some frequently requested features. Specifically, we're enhancing the ability to edit metadata for posts, which will be most visible in Gallery and Chat channels.

• See rich previews of links posted in Chat channels and DMs
• Add a Title to the link/media you're posting in a Gallery channel
• Add a Description to the link/media you're posting in a Gallery channel
• Automatically re-host remote images using your storage bucket so they are visible in Chat channels
• You can tag @all in a chat channel, everyone who is a member of that channel will be notified (push included)
• You can also tag @admin to mention ships with the Admin role

Users who are self-hosted will need to apply the update or your ship will not be compatible with the new version of the app.

Please ensure that you are receiving updates to the %groups desk from ~sogryp-dister-dozzod-dozzod.
