Native v9.5.4
Summary
This release reorganizes navigation around Tlonbot, adding it as a permanent first item, renaming Groups to Workspaces, and replacing Contacts with Settings, where Tlonbot settings now appear first. It also adds a Tlon Hosting re-authorization prompt, support contact options when the app fails to connect, native Notebook headers, and disables creation of legacy Bulletins channels, along with fixes for blank screens on outdated ships, thread syncing, header layout, roles, scrolling, MCP sign-in, autocorrect clearing, and improved error reporting.
What's Changed
- Adds a permanent first-position navigation item for Tlonbot.
- Renames "Groups" to "Workspaces" to better reflect Tlonbot integration. Changes the second-position navigation item to a "#" to denote as such.
- Replaces Contacts with Settings as a fourth-position navigation item. Surfaces Tlonbot settings first in the Settings menu for more ergonomic configuration, and moves Profile and Contacts further down in the Settings list.
- Adds a connectivity check for Tlon Hosting login. If you have a valid Urbit session authentication without a Tlon Hosting one, we will prompt you to re-authorize with a one-time password to your e-mail address or phone number.
- Improves Notebook channel headers with native look and feel.
- Adds [email protected] contact avenues if the app catastrophically dies on startup or otherwise fails to connect.
- Disables the creation of legacy Notebook channels ("Bulletins"). We will eventually remove support for viewing these channels as well with advance warning and migration steps.
- Fixes an issue where the app would render blank if the ship's %groups desk was older than the app requires.
- Fixes an issue where Chat threads would fail to report additional posts to the thread observed on web.
- Fixes an issue where long group names in the header would run under the buttons and Chat channel threads would read a generic "Chat."
- Fixes an issue where roles created after a member joined would never appear for that member.
- Fixes an issue where thread reply previews would fail to display image avatars for moons.
- Fixes an issue where a short note could be scrolled entirely out of view above the keyboard while editing.
- Fixes an issue where Chat channels could not be scrolled to the bottom when a member posted a tall image.
- Fixes an issue where authorizing some MCP connections with OAuth would fail to open the sign-in link.
- Fixes an issue where sending a message after the phone suggested an autocorrect option, the message box would fail to clear.
- Fixes numerous invisible crashes, errors, and bugs by improving the fidelity of automated error reporting (without compromising privacy).
